EyeJot, a company run by pal David Geller out of Seattle. Geller's other company is WhatCounts and EyeJot has some nice features wrapped around the Macromedia Flash based video message recording, ability to work with social networks. EyeJot messages that people receive can be viewed inside the browser, loaded onto video iPods for playback later, as well as being able to be emailed to one person or even to groups.
EyeJot takes advantage of the already built in Flash in browsers which means no additional client software. Any web browser that already has Flash works with EyeJot so that means desktops, laptops and even mobile phones. The use Adobe Flash and the idea of bridging the idea video mail and what email has to offer in the form of a message makes it easy for anyone with a camera phone or web cam to send an video mail message.
I've used Eyejot and I have to say it is one heck of a simple, yet viral idea. As a user, it took me about 10 seconds to understand how to use the application. It was easy to use the plugin on Myspace. I think Eyejot really has something going for it. UI is everything...

Hey Andy -
If you're impressed with eyeyot, you'll love gabmail and gabjam (www.freegabmail.com). You can use any email or webmail client, no download *or* registration, unlimited number of free messages of up to two minutes in length. Best part is that every message is threaded so you can access any video in a thread with a single click. Much more robust and even easier to use! Nick.
