Boingo Rasies Lots of Cash

Boingo, one of the larger hot spot aggregators in the USA has raised a whopping Series C round of $65 million dollars.

Clearly on a growth spurt, Boingo will be a crucial part of the Fixed Mobile Convergence world in my mind as their footprint and roaming ability will make it easy for users to go from cell coverage to much better WiFi connetctions.

Given their Sky Dayton roots Boingo can be perceived as being aligned with Earthlink and now also with MVNO Helio, so I fully expect there to be some real announcements between those three companies as each rolls out more intertwined solutions in the future.
