Just when it's starting to look like AT&T CallVantage will become one for the history books as the best ever consumer VoIP service, the folks who tried to bring you Voice Wing, Verizon, are coming out with yet another attempt at VoIP.
They're selling a $250 dollar device, complete with a contract.
YAWN!
Really. I have to wonder where they find the people who come up with these ideas? When the entire world is going in the directions of no-contracts, pre-paid and trying to figure out how to do away with agreements, Verizon goes in the opposite direction......
I've been reading quite a bit about this device but wasn't aware of the contract part! Thanks for the info.

I just received 17 yellowpages on my porch from Verizon today. Yes, they're still living in the past.
With just a few of their dollars spent creatively on real solutions rather than shoving old ideas down their customers throats, it'd be amazing what could happen.
