As if the logo change wasn't enough a rumor has it AT&T is preparing something to replace their best in class consumer VoIP product CallVantage. No one knows if its better or not, but I'm inclined to think it will be in the direction of .........
This comes on top of the rumor that AT&T is having problems expanding into India...It seems Verizon and their Vodafone relationship via Arun Sarin will be paying some dividends. Some roughly 15 licenses are being awarded for 3G service around what many in the mobile world call the next big market for growth, but the geniuses in San Antonio obviously can't tell one Chili pepper from the other and are now feeling the heat. Reportedly Verizon won one as did some Russian operators.
Andy, I think its more of a case of residential VoIP getting blended into the U-verse offering....that way get a whole IP home from TV to Internet, to phone lines.
Happy Holidays,
