I read the press release this morning about the new IP Enabled offering from AT&T that is aimed at the business market called "Flexible Reach."
In many ways it reminded me of CallVantage, both in marketing tone and feature set, with the difference being the target audience being the business market that has multiple office locations and off site "teleworkers."
While many VoIP providers have already had this level of functionality in their offerings, now that an AT&T has weighed in with a package like this, and will be putting more weight behind it, look for the impact it will have on the market to drive even more businesses to VoIP. Also take a look at how all of us CallVantage customers have been a great proving ground for the platform as it clearly shows that aspect to those of us who are in the know.
The interesting thing is that at the same time as AT&T is rolling out Flexible Reach, British Telecom is making similar moves in the UK with VoIP.
