Over the past week logging into GizmoProject has been at best like playing Russian Roulette. Sometimes the service is up, and other times, its down.
Jason Droege, President of SipPhone attributes this to growing pains and the increase in users they are seeing. I take this as a good thing in the long run as it is proving that interest in the service is there.
Unfortunately, when I need to make a Gizmo call and I can't it means back to an alternative. Given how much positive acclaim the Gizmo folks have gotten from the blogosphere and our loyalty, every once and a while we need to "lay the smack down" on them...
FYI-First I thought it was a Cox cable modem issue, but then I tried over my Covad T1 and had the same result.
Well I've been having the same problem... I thought was a connection matter (I use both SIP and Soft) But it seems I am not the only one!
Gizmo Wakeup!!
Thanks

Markus,
You're not alone in using other access methods. I have my Linksys WIP 300 and my Nokia N Series phones also logged on.
Yes, they stay connected, but the laptops turn off at night and log back on all day. The issue is the Jabber server and they are fixing the issue.

I wonder if this problem just appears with the Gizmo software or if it happens on an ATA or a PBX as well.
I regularily get phone calls on my free local number from Gizmo and didn't notice any problems. The callers also didn't mention any problems.
Maybe Gizmo's problems are caused by users like me, who are day and night connected via PBX or ATA to Gizmo. Maybe that leaves less room for occasional software logins by people like you.
