Yahoo and SKype were once totally bitter rivals, are they about to be come friends?
Seeking Alpha has a report of a possible tie up between the two on a new wireless phone service.
Given how Yahoo and Microsoft are partners on IM. And how Yahoo and the iLecs/RBOC's are partners on access, and how Yahoo Messenger with voice has been soft peddled by "Skippy"-Brad Garlinghouse and the "Rock Star"-Jeff Bonforte in the direction of the DSL partners to not erode market share, but there for the RBOCs when they want it. one has to wonder if this is a move to begin to distance themselves as rumors are swirling that AT&T and Yahoo are not as cozy as they once were, and now with Uverse rolling out, the need for Yahoo's content to drive sales is less meaningful to some.
