Hello Andy,

Just wanted to let you know that EQO does not send voice data over the carrier data channel. EQO uses data to setup calls, but runs voice data over the wireless voice network. A typical EQO call involves the user initiating a call from EQO Mobile via data, dialing an EQO local access number, EQO carrying the call over VoIP, and the recipient receiving a local call on the other end. I hope that clarifies the situation, let us know if you have any other questions.

Andy - while EQO can support WiFi/3G data VoIP, for users with only 2G phones, the EQO voice media is over circuit switch channels.
