iPeerx, the VoIP peering company that was seeded by birthday boy, Jeff Pulver, has been sold to xConnect, proving that supporting Jeff Pulver run events helps make deals happen. Eli Katz and his team have been growing their business and this acquisition is a key move to their growth plans.
iotum was fetted and praised by both Yahoo's Jeff Bonforte and AOL's Ragui Kamel at the opening panel yesterday. Co founders Alex Saunders and Howard Thaw about fell over in awe as the IM/VoIP masters heaped praise on them for what iotum is up to in a 2.0 world....

Sharon Kasimow and the team on the AOL Developer Program told me that the smoke testing is over and both MyNuMo and iotum have their apps up and running. They're showing off the APIs and actual implementation starting today...
Level3's Cynthia Carpenter has another new role, going from VP of Consumer to now Wholesale. She's also promising an update later this week on their efforts and research. Don't forget the Level3 dinner tonight, with Jeff Pulver at the Harvard Club. I made wine selection for the Broomfield giant proving that blogging does matter!!! Oh, since it's Jeff's Birthday if you're on the guest list, a Hawaiian Shirt is the required uniform of the day.
Sylantro is making noise about a deal they are doing with Microsoft and something called the Mobile PBX that is a Fixed Mobile Convergence Play...no real details yet despite a promise from their two PR people to have the release to me overnight that still hasn't arrived....
