Microsoft and Yahoo Begin Their Marriage

Will Yahoo become the first big time company to really effectively work with Microsoft. While posessing one of the broadest and biggest eco-systems in technology, over the years the Microsoft partners list has read like a whose who, what's what in tech. Unfortunately the list is almost as long as ex VP's at Microsoft who really had stock options and have left big M too go onto bigger and better things.

I've heard around Santa Clara, Sunnyvale and Hollywood that some Yahoo executives actually have some reservations about this IM based Interoperability relationship really working out long term, with some cautiously expressing concern that Microsoft's concept of interoperability is really more like the Trojan Horse of ancient time. It's a sneaky way in.....

What's really needed is a more open Federation like approach. Similar to what Google and Earthlink and Gizmo and others are espousing...but that's too much for Microsoft to tackle, and then there's also AOL.....
