Pal and client with iotum, Alec Saunders is picking up on the same FMC vibe that others of us in the VoIP world are feeling too. Ken Camp's insightful disection of what is causing the excitement is right on the money and as Alec is pointing out, the cable world is a big part of this and in my book where the money is going to be made near term for the FMC players who are smart enough to play there.
With Sprint signing MVNO type deals with Time Warner Cable which has successfully demonstrated FMC last week, and as other MSOs here in the USA start to dabble with the fourplay offer, what's clear to me is how this will drive more sales revenue, just like the triple play has been driving VoIP signups at a rapid rate.
With the addition of Mobile to the menu means more of the share of wallet to the MSOs. It also means that they will also have a greater opportunity to keep the user on their pseudo-network in what I call the combination of an integrated ground and air game.
