While we all know VoIP will erode the tradtional landline business, for some carriers there are still ways to keep the traffic on their legacy networks, especially for customers who don't need the next generation capabilities of VoIP.
In Australia, Phone giant Telstra is starting to make some moves against the VoIP operators by simply lowering prices and creating buckets of minutes and features.
Does that sound familier? It's right out of the SBC playbook as that was what the USA based telco giant did too when it saw VoIP looming.
