Jim Courtney has a good wrap up of Day One at VON Canada. Despite it being a smaller footprint in show size and number of attendees, what's clear to me is that the VoIP world lives beyond the borders of the USA and the one constant in all of the VoIP action is Jeff Pulver and his team.
Back in the 90s the buzzword was community. Even though I'm not there, the coverage of other community members in the Pulverati world makes me feel like I'm there. That and a few VoIP or mobile calls I've had with friends there. I'm also quite happy to see that once again the blogosphere is the place for the news, but saddened that the Main Stream USA based press corps can't cover the news out of Toronto news about VoIP matters globally. I have a few ideas and plan on discussing them with show organizers of leading conferences that are outside the USA yet have a USA news angle.
