About 18 months or so ago as an extension to my PR and Marketing Communications business and broadcasting efforts with Ken Rutkowski on KenRadio, KenRadio I began writing a daily blog called VoIPWatch
While Skype may not be my agency’s client, it is a voice client that allows me to communicate with those that are very easily, so I was honored to be interviewed by the official Skype Blog Editor Janus Kase a few weeks ago and be afforded the opportunity to tell my story. You can find it here: http://share.skype.com/blog/featured_skyper/andy_abramson/#readmore
For those of you who think I’m only a latter day tech-wonk, I think you will find some facts out about me that you may never knew. For those who are my winepals I think after reading the interview or listening to the audio file you will realize I’ve been into technology and the online world longer than I have been into wine, though one interest has certainly led to the other.
Given this interview came out only a few days after my late father’s birthday, I consider it timely as it brings back memories of those questions from him about the computer the first day I brought one home, as well the many lessons learned from my two mentors Sy Roseman and Ken Gesner, who though departed, will always be a part of me. Neither of my mentors ever used a PC-Sy’s weapon of choice was the Royal Standard Upright typewriter, while for Ken it was the telephone and his wife Janet who would type his letters, but both in many ways made it possible for me to do what I do today, and more importantly, become whom and what I have become. I thank them more in my heart each time something like this happens, for each “father” played a significant role in my life.
If you’re so inclined, please take a moment to hear my viewpoints and learn more about me as I share my views, perspectives and thoughts.
