Engadget dreams of the i730 but mine arrived yesterday.
So far it's living up to the billing of being real Pocket PC phone and is it tiny. Smaller than the Blackberry, with WiFi, Bluetooth and EVDO. I'll be loading Skype on when I get back to San Diego along with a few other goodies (maybe the XTEN Softphone too) and with EVDO I will see just how good the voice quality is.
My thought process is rather simple. If I can make all the calls I want using EVDO and the quality is there, then when I'm in San Diego and other EvDO markets, who needs to use up my minutes? If that happens then I see the sweet spot for unlimited mobile voice and data falling into the $80.00 price point.
Somehow I don't think that's what Verizon (or Sprint which is rolling out EvDO too) has in mind.
