I think via some of the coverage here and on VoIPNuke by Keith, that this information about Level3 being the supplier to Champion, a MLM VoIP sales company.
In the old days of MCI, resellers who were MLM's literally built the business for the company via a plethora of independent, agents who were like Amway sales people. Now with technology and a database this means a lot of potential business that will ride over Level 3's network.
Since Champion is just one of the number of MLM concepts out there running over Level 3, it means at some point someone will roll up those companies into one phone company, or a smart existing carrier will buy up their customer base. Since MLM companies also have the propensity to go sideways, Level 3 could also end up with the customers too...and create a consumer business at some point as well, or be the "brand" but currently that does not seem to be part of their model.
the MLM'ers will end up with boxes of ATA's and phones that will sink in price as the "product" becomes ubiquitious........
someones going to make a killing owning it all - and my bet is it will be an ISP .....

My reasoning is that if people researched Chamnpion and the backbone company, Ionosphere, they could talk intelligently about FACTs. Otherwise it is only an opinion.
