Here's a story I can relate to in the Wall Street Journal. It's about taking your VoIP with you, something I think I was one of the first to document and prove last November when I did the daily "World Technology Roundup" from my broadband enabled hotels in Paris and London, a Vonage ATA and a wireless phone and router to make it all work.
The new travel router from Netgear has yet to work with my Zyxel WiFi phone but I hope the new version of firmware which came yesterday in a new unit solves that issue, while both SMC and D-Link follow in the same manner, with DLink adding USB power to the device. If these are WiFi phone compatable, an issue that is more chipset compatability and firmware version created, then taking a WiFi phone, already configured to your provider (Vonage and VoicePulse both work with the Zyxel Prestige very well) gives being portable has an even better meaning.
Road Warriors....add these to your utility belt.
