The VON (Voices on the Net) Coaltion has spoken. And the FCC is likely listening.
Their position, which is counter to the CWA (see post below) regrding regulation is well thought out and expands into areas including the Universal Services Fund that provides phone service to rural areas.
When money is involved everyone takes sides. The VON Coaltion, which includes some very well funded companies (AT&T, Microsoft, Intel) plus many VOIP newcomers is obviously looking to widen, not narrow the way people all across the USA can communicate.
This type of pioneer spirit is what built our nation. Those trying to hold it back can end up like the original government in the USA. Dumped in the harbor like tea.
