Respected research house, In-Stat, has issued a report on the consumer Voice over IP market.
The report shows that Vonage has 66% of the market, a number which will go down as more players enter the picture. In-Stat also cites that saving money on calling for consumers is the leading reason for uptake. While price is always an issue, there are more reasons why people make the switch as detailed yesterday. Lastly, In-Stat brings up possible regulatory hurdles that could make VoIP a bad investment.
