Point 1 - The real reason the telco's are throwing in wifi is to increase the value proposition of an expensive poor function device
with expensive plans.
Point 2 - if Apple understood the Telco market so well why did they have to change their business plan so dramatically?
Point 3- WM devices sense wifi just fine thank you, and can actually use it to do more than just browsing the web and send e-mail. The wifi-based HTC Touch outsold the iPhone in Europe.
