XO Expands LMDS Coverage

Facilities based carrier XO Communications has had their share of ups and downs but one has to applaud their efforts. Today they announced expansion of their LMDS efforts into a total of 36 markets.

The play is geared towards getting around and away from the costs and hassles associated with legacy incumbent carriers to cost efficiently deliver broadband without wires.

With the speeds they can offer, and low latency, this like services from Covad which offers similar services, means more options for small business to stay connected.
