Great assessment about the ease of interconnection between services afforded by the SIP platform. Real P2P SIP offers great promise for increasing the number of VoIP users due to its efficiency and simplicity. In addition to the companies you mentioned, I'd like to point out that www.FriendCaller.com, is another emerging VoIP service that is SIP compatible. FriendCaller is a Java-based, browser phone that does not require any proprietary software downloads, plug-ins, etc. Browser-based VoIP is gaining more traction, and it will be interesting to see how things develop with regards to Skype and Gizmo5, and how this collaboration will benefit the industry as a whole.
