More Devices Point To Video and VoIP
At CES this year, two devices caught my eye.
The first was the iRiver Wave Home while the second is the new BenQ N Screen.
Why? Because these are phones and video communications devices which also do a few other things well. In my view we continue to see product divergence occurring, not convergence.

Andy,
There was more at CES than the iRiver. I gave a roundup of the devices I saw there on TMCnet.
And yes - all of these devices do more than video conferencing.

The convergence is in the Voip. The Video is an added feature.
I use an ACN Iris 3000.
I sell them on my Website: http://jaccard.acnrep.com
What I really like is I bought a 2 Gig USB stick from Staples and loaded 2 CD's of pictures and still downloaded more from my PC onto the phone. It is ip based and in my living room running a slideshow when not in use. Its also great for my conference calls as it has a speaker phone. So with Voip, Video and speakerphone, I have everything I need for my home office. I can also take it with me when I travel and keep my local number.

The announcements from OpenPeak and Touch Revolutions are also interesting, especially they are platforms that other consumer elctronics companies make useful products.
