VoIP Makes for a Good Cause

Stacey Higginbotham of GigaOm has a read worth piece up about a novel use of VoIP by a service called Cause Caller.

What's interesting about the post is that it validates an idea I gave to the former investors in Pingtel and also the same idea I suggested to pal Alec Suanders some time back. That being making use of the Amazon Ec2 platform which is part of AWS (Amazon Web Services.)

What I like about Cause Caller is that it's an inventive and useful deployment of Click to Call because it ties together the idea of a hyperlink, a phone call set up and web based information. This is much like what client ifByPhone is up to, that being creating web applications that make it easy to get people talking not typing, and a first cousin to Phweet, that rabble rousing platform that pals Stuart Henshall and David Beckemeyer keep improving.
