    One or Many

Right now when we think about devices, we live in two camps. They are what I call the Camps of One or Many.

In the past I've written about the coming of Divergence, and that we who are early adopters have exited the era of convergence when it comes to devices. Now this doesn't mean those items are goners, 'cause their not. What they are is for the more maturing market sector.

Alan Reiter's post echoes those sentiments and goes deeper into the what's and the whys, as well as the companies that are in the game today and will be changing the game tomorrow.

Update-Alan has followed up with a second post CES post about UMPC's and MID (Mobile Internet Devices)
