    999 In UK Means Emergency Spells Trouble For Skype

    Skype doesn't like 911 regulatory efforts in the USA and has done all they can in their messaging to keep away from the FCC on that point.

    Well it looks like in the UK they won't be able to stay away from the OFCOM folks very long.

    You see, the DUCK test (if it looks like a duck.....) really applies here and will is my guess. Skype has too many licensed and unlicensed devices that look like regular telephones, work like regular telephones (SKYPE IN) and call like regular telephones (SKYPE OUT) to not pass the test.
