SightSpeed Offers Help To San Diego County Fire Affected Folks

This is a heartfelt offer from SightSpeed, and their CEO Peter Csathy. He and four members of his executive team reside in San Diego County. All are very much affected by the fires here, as am I. While I'm up in Northern California, Peter had to high tail it to the desert with his family yesterday. My companies Events Director and his family were under a mandatory evacuation in Del Mar.

So when I woke up this morning, after looking at how widespread the fires had gotten, I suggested to Csathy that SightSpeed could help. Since his team works virtually, he got it right away. Now by end of day the program to help the affected folks in San Diego and Los Angeles can take advantage of SightSpeed Pro for free.

I learned a long time ago that the best charity is when it begins at home. For Csathy and the SightSpeed folks, this shows they get the importance of giving back.

Andy, thanks. We are happy to do what we can at SightSpeed, as we are experiencing this first-hand and this hits very close to home (literally). Fortunately, all of my team here in San Diego is safe (though our homes are not) -- but hundreds of thousands of people are evacuated and directly impacted in San Diego alone.

Please spread the word to charitable organizations and relief organizations that video calling, video conferencing, voice calling, and video mails can really help in times like these for coordination and collaboration purposes. Remember, officials are urging folks not to use cell phones unless it is an absolute emergency.

Also, of course, video can uniquely help to keep displaced families, friends and business colleagues as "connected" as possible when they are separated by geographic distance.
