David Pogue Set The Record Straight on Cubic

David Pogue is a gentleman and a class act. He also is someone in the media I hold with a high degree and respect, which is why I'm drawing attention to his very big amplification and correction on the story he wrote about Cubic Telecom and MaxRoam.

What he's done is fairly correct errors which appeared in print, that were based on what he was supplied. He did it in a very fair and balanced way, and still gives Cubic some props that they deserve.

It is worth a read as it is about as honest of a correction that I've ever read in 34 years of journalism experience I've had.

Well done David!

In fact, Andy, Pogue's column is rife with factual errors and misrepresentations. If you had followed those standards of good journalism, you would have asked Pat Phelan what the story was. Instead, you just amplified an erroneous column and praised Pogue's efforts, which, the facts will show, were substandard at numerous points of the last week.
