New Jangl, New Yahoo Messenger

There's a new Jangl web site with some new features for users. The hot news. You can text to JANGL and get your JANGL number to make a call with. My guess is you text someone's JANGL ID to Jangl and it sends you back their number.

Yahoo Messenger for Vista also debuted today. What I saw won't be seeing the light of day until at least the second quarter but it has lots of promise, but won't be interoperable with Microsoft Live at the outset most likely.

Coolest feature. The Gadgets. This is a Jeff Bonforte original and it is something that takes a page out of the Macintosh widget family. It wasn't built with the Yahoo owned Konfabulator, but using the Visat SDK.

All in all this is a very sweet looking version of Messenger.
