It seems that the fire I lit about video blogging as Dina Kaplan continues to egg Alec Saunders on, while also playing to my good side.

And I don't see where to comment on the above blog post, but I actually think it's good to have a number of video sharing sites out there catering to different interests. There are a lot of sites that do "text on the web" and there will be plenty of sites that will succeed doing "video on the web."

Blip.tv, for example, caters to videobloggers and not to people doing one-off, viral videos. Those are really different markets requiring different features and best served, I believe, by different companies.
