Skype and Netgear Hook Up...Wired or Wireless Is The Question

Wonder what Olga knows that we don't. My guess is something that ties into the Boingo/Cloud relationship...any guesses.

Guess we'll find out at the press conference today at the eBay booth at 2:15 PM..

This ends up being a WiFi phone. We're not sure yet if it works with Boingo or the Cloud, the two SkypeZone partners, or if it will work with any network that requires a username and password. Skype representatives are trying to get an answer.

The phone is also, according to Skype, not due out for a few months. Boingo will have a SIP based 3G/WiFi product out before then it would seem.

Nothing like partner "love."

If it is a WiFi device then the announcement from The Cloud offering blanket Wi-Fi coverage to nine UK cities (including Cambridge - my home city) with more to come is welcome timing.
