New Yahoo Messenger Plans Emerge, Skype the Target

Details are slowly leaking out about Yahoo Messenger's new features and more importantly pricing. As intimated yesterday the new package goes right down the throats of rival eBay's Skype offering.

Ovum, a UK based telecom analyst firm has take a slightly different spin, questioning Yahoo's direction. In reading the closing paragraph it seems the author, Jan Dawson may not have received the same briefing I did earlier this week because the assertion made on where Yahoo needs to go is exactly where they said they were going with Voice.
