Gotta Love A Winner-PhoneGnome

Without any special help by yours truly who co-hosted the San Diego TeleCom Council's, um, CommNexus', GadgetFest last night, client TelEvolution's CEO David Beckemeyer walked away with GadgetFest Award For Best New Gadget for PhoneGnome in the multi-media non mobile phone category, while Motorola won in the Mobile Phone sector.

The voting, which was done first by a group of analysts from the analyst community and Golden Boy Michael Robertson of SipPhone and MP3.com fame (check out MP3tunes.com today) but that ended in a dead heat between SlingBox and PhoneGnome. The voting then turned to the crowd and PhoneGnome after two dead heats won on the third ballot.
