PA and Verizon Deal Gets Done

The State of Pennsylvania has given into the Verizon backed legislation about WiFi being deployed by governments. It basically says if a municipality wants to deploy a telecom venture that Verizon has to be involved. My guess is some city will challenge the law in court.

Earlier in the week Verizon said they won't stop the Philadelphia project. Why would they. Who do you think will provide the bandwidth....?

This is clearly a protectionist move by Verizon to both save face and keep their hands in all forms of communications.
