Internet Telephony Feature Article: VoIP Regulation: What Lessons Can We Learn From Wireless?

In the Internet Telephony Feature Article: VoIP Regulation: What Lessons Can We Learn From Wireless? there are many salient points about an approach to regulating VoIP. It's worth a read after you open your presents tomorrow.

The idea that the wireless carriers will get into VoIP is not a new one on me. I really believe that the next wave of VoIP plays will be sold by first the independent cellular stores which already have customer relationships and a sales team. I'm actually quite surprised that neither AT&T, Vonage or Packet 8 has worked deals to have the independent wireless retailers act as store fronts for them. It's a very logical fit.

The same for say, T-Mobile who has the most to win. If T-Mobile could roll out a rebranded version of CallVantage, now that AT&T is out of the GSM world, it could be a good thing for both.
