They actually launched this new headset at TMC's Internet Telephony Expo.
I met with Plantronics and talked about some of its features, including it's integration with VoIP softphones, such as Skype.

As for being expensive, well I'm getting a free demo unit for review! nah nah nah! Just kidding. : )
