James Enck sent me an e-mail yesterday saying he had a problem with Skype. What he saw was a grey icon and none of his mates online.
This morning I attempted to make a Skype Out call to a France phone number, and got the error message that said the Skype Proxy could not be located. I tried to Skype James and nothing happened. No ring. No answer. Nothing. I then tried to call someone in another country and it rang. I called my home number and it rang.
I then called France, for two calls and the calls went through, followed by a brief chat with James using Skype.
The odd thing is yesterday I was on Skype without a hitch yet James wasn't. We *SUSPECT* that there is a problem with some supernodes.
I wonder if they saw my IM using Skype or if the SuperNode is not as super as we think.
Update: Skype PR says they continue to expand their network and "are continuing to enhance and expand our termination capacity..."
