SipThat.com's author envisions VoIP using SIP and EV-DO. Well, I've tried it, and while it works, the sound is not what I would call great. If you recall, back in June of this year I coined the acronym VoEVDO.

Awww... what are you talking about VOIP on evdo works great... you just have to set your proxy correctly and deal with the slight latency... just talk more slowly ;)
And.. Well, EVDO may look like a wifi killer but wifi is kinda like Linux in that it is open channel...
so.. there's even a evdo sharing box that lets you rebroadcast evdo over wifi at http://www.wireless-internet-broadband-service.com and http://www.evdo-coverage.com .... Robert Kim - http://www.dvd-vending-machines-kiosks.com -
